“There’s a lot of cute 🥰 girls in Sydney!”

For sure! More than there are sailboats in the harbor.

“Is that the girl you went to Manly beach with? I can’t see her face! How come you don’t show?”

Credit card and CVC code please.

“Why you keep trying to be funny?”

You can look at the old ones for free. The new releases you have to pay. I will say that she is super cute! I mean ridiculous cute. 🥰 She said she’s from Germany but speaks perfect English with the Aussie accent. She said she was visiting Sydney. I don’t think she said from where. Somewhere else in Australia probably. I met her on the ferry. That’s all I know.

Would you like to see some previous attractions? Free with commercials. I have pictures of them and good stories.

“I wanna see the new ones. What’s wrong with taking pictures of them?”

You mean like this? Because they aren’t trophies. They will be my friends if they make it through the reset.

“They aren’t your friends now? Just because you won’t see them again doesn’t mean they can’t be your friends. There are lots of ways to be friends even if they are far away. You have to show them, they are pretty! Show them.”

So they can find out I made a caricature of them? They might not like that. They are real people and they have feelings. I don’t want to hurt them. I like them! Are you sure you don’t want to see the old ones? I threw them back so it’s ok to show them.

“No thanks, I’m not that bored. Maybe when we cross the Atlantic. Alright so she’s super cute for sure, but not beautiful? What’s the difference? Is that why saying you are beautiful is a better compliment than saying you are cute?”

Cute girls are nice to look at, are friendly, and fun to talk to. They are good company and generally want you to like them and do things together.

“And the beautiful ones?”

Ther are two things that can happen there.  You can be stunned by them, inevitably getting crushed like a train running over a dumb and helpless farm cow.

“I’ve seen that.  How come you can’t be friends with them?

I’m not going to be friend-zoned by them. If they don’t want me the same way I want them they get tossed back for someone else they do want. If you don’t, they are just going to use you.

“Definitely. And the other thing that can happen?”

You go caveman aggressive, club her over the head, and drag her back to your cave.

“I think you’ve seen too many Geico commercials. Any predictions on the outcome?”

After Monday, no more caveman references. I won’t watch TV again till next fall. I’ll take the Chiefs. The spread is 3? I predict they eek it out at the last possible moment. Taylor Swift is the good luck charm.

“More sushi?”

Yes! There’s a lot of choices and inexpensive.

Sushi Hub is awesome. There’s a few of them. Right outside our hotel and at the ferry terminals and the beach!

It’s still summer down under.

Yoga shorts are pretty common. Sometimes bikinis on the beach. It’s warm enough for anything.

The usual commercial enterprises.

“Bondi Beach had more!”

I thought these trees look like the fake trees they make cell phone towers to look like. But these trees are real. Some kind of beach pine tree. I’ve never seen anything like it.

“Besides the cell phone towers.”

This beach has clean sand. You can run on it and play in it. It’s ideal for making sand castles. Not every beach is so nice.

These 2d barcodes are everywhere. Even on tables at restaurants you need your cell phone to look at menus and even order food. Life could be very different if you don’t have a smartphone of some kind. We have more than one just in case. And we also have a local sim card so our navigation works. That’s critical in many places. WiFI isn’t always available or working at any level you can make use of.

We know the L1 and L3 lines very well now. Tonight we are staying in Chinatown. It is by far the best area we’ve been at. We have a suite in the corner above the Theater. The rail stop is at the other corner. Central is just up the street on the other side of the park. There are dozens of places to eat here. This is the best spot we’ve had.

“We will come back here.”

Unfortunately the big street party is this weekend and we won’t be around to see it.

Besides the Sushi Hub, this is the favorite spot to eat. We are remembered here! It’s always nice to be remembered in the big city. It makes you feel special, like you stand-out from the crowd in some way.

Duck is even better than chicken. It’s hard to go wrong with anything on the menu.

The lights come up from the buildings to supplement the sunset I can’t see from here. We got pretty used to seeing sunsets and sunrises. Now I remember I don’t usually don’t see them.
