Captain says we aren’t going to Hilo. Some other ship is in our parking spot.
“I’ve never heard that excuse yet. I’ve never seen Hilo either.”
You may never. We’re tendering at another spot we’ve already been to, Kona. We’re on repeat now.
It’s all Hawaii to me too. I hope they aren’t dissapointed we aren’t following the itenerary exactly.
“That only matters if you made plans.”
Pretty realistic.
“Every time.”
Who can say this isn’t just another loop? It sure looks familiar.
This is 20th century. Says so right here.
“Isn’t this the 21st century?”
Another sunny morning in paradise. I should be happier but this isn’t turning out like I wanted it to.
“You can only control what you are doing.”
That’s not helpful.
Isn’t that…?
This lady is having a great ending to to story she created for herself. She lost her cell phone the week before. She had it one moment and it was gone the next. It had all her contacts and information stored in it and then it is all gone. Things couldn’t be any worse because there is no backup for her old phone. Why would anyone take it? It only has value to her. It was stolen she thinks and all hope was lost. For days she was in a dejected mood and nobody could help. The criminals were going to get away and there’s nothing anyone could do about it.
“That was the story she created in her mind. It was real. It was real until she found her phone at the bottom of her bag. She had it the whole time.”
No man suffers more than in his own mind. Somebody famous said that and it is true. You can create your own tragedy if you let your imagination become real.
“Happens all the time. If you expect the worst you can see the worst. If you expect the best you might find it.”
That advice is a little late thanks.
“Surely there were signs, I mean there weren’t any red flags? No clues?”
Surely?
Are you calling me Shirley?
You don’t know.
“You’ll never know.”
This is real.
“It looks just like last time. You are just proving we are in a loop.”
That was a different ship.
“That just proves my point! It’s a copy!”
Even when we leave, it looks the same as when we arrived.
It’s just another loop.
Twice a day. It’s the same thing.
More of the same.
“This is what I’ve been telling you.”
The same one?
“I’ve lost count.”
Looks like a very nice home on the golf course.
It’s a hotel on a golfcourse. Might be a Hilton.
“Another Nuclear Sunset?”
It’s a sunrise.
Looks fake. More Ai graphics?
“Real”
Empty pool, parking lot, looks like an ending.
“Ok, this looks real.”
What about Ling Ling? Is she real?
That’s unbelievable.
“Just an Ai. Can you see it now?”
What about the money? I lost 4m on the transfer.
“It doesn’t exist. It never happened.”
First rule of crypto?
“It doesn’t exist.”
You’re just saying that. It’s not all gone, IS IT?
Stop asking. You already have the answer. You’ve known it the whole time.
“You’re damn right!”
Take care.
A few more hours to be special.
Welcome back to the real world. Hot dogs in every direction.
“It’s hot dogs all the way down.”
So that’s it? That’s the end?
“That was the deal.”
How about another one then?
“It won’t be the same. But it will be the same.”
Ok, I’ll take it!
